We are more than just a building – we are catalysts in our communities for a greater understanding of the world we live in.
The Saskatchewan Science Centre is known and loved as a highly interactive attraction that stimulates a love for science among children of all ages and from all walks of life. As a fun and engaging learning environment the Science Centre has something for everyone, regardless of age, background, or ethnicity.
The Science Centre provides opportunities for families to play and learn together. Students can explore the wonders of space or new discoveries in science, build a structure that could withstand wind or rain, or experience weightlessness. Seniors can connect with new and existing technologies while enjoying the nostalgia of past visits with their children. Teachers access a wealth of information and opportunities to share with their students. Visitors from other provinces and around the world discover the unique and amazing diversity found in Saskatchewan.
Where It Began
When the idea of the Saskatchewan Science Centre was first proposed by the Junior Service League, a simple and clear statement was issued on why having a Science Centre in Regina was so important.

Out Of This World Impact
The Saskatchewan Science Centre introduces new ideas and experiences that shape children’s futures.
Continually renewing and refreshing the programs and exhibits at the Science Centre creates a modernized and dynamic educational experience. To meet our future growth needs a renewal project is underway. With a significant contribution from the federal and provincial governments Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) the project will be kick-started with general renovations to the public-facing areas of the facility.
A Saskatchewan Science Centre experience is centered around dynamic, interactive exhibit experiences designed to explore science, technology, and innovation through the lens of our province. Three new signature exhibits will focus on the themes of agriculture, nature, and energy. A renewed IMAX theatre will bring visitors on incredible adventures they could not otherwise experience. The sound and the images combine for a truly out-of-this-world feeling. An outdoor learning space will expand opportunities for children to learn through play, as well as discover the amazing wonders found in nature.
Although seed funding has been received from multiple government organizations, there is a unique opportunity to get involved and help us reimagine what the Saskatchewan Science Centre can be for generations to come.
