What is the Discovery Fund?
The Saskatchewan Science Centre is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to ignite scientific curiosity and innovation in Saskatchewan communities. As a not-for-profit organization, admissions, and programming fees make a necessary contribution to the cost of our operations.
Not every student or classroom has the financial resources to enjoy a visit to the Saskatchewan Science Centre or have the Go! Science outreach team visit their school. The SSC’s Discovery Fund provides financial assistance to priority and deserving students and classrooms throughout the province.
The Discovery Fund is financed by donations from individuals, organizations, and a portion of each Science Centre Corporate Membership sold. If you would like to help bring deserving groups to the Saskatchewan Science Centre, please visit the Donate page on our website.
The Discovery Fund may be a fit for your organization if you are:
A school visiting the SSC for a daytime visit. Applications can be made for General Admission, IMAX documentary films, and Workshops
A school who wants to book a Go! Science Outreach Visit. The Discovery Fund is only for school programming, not for Summer Outreach or event-specific programming.
If you represent a group that could benefit from the Discovery Fund, please click the link below and fill out the form below. Each application is reviewed individually and the level of assistance provided will be based on need and available funds.
