School Workshops

Cubelets (Grades 2–5)

Cubelets (Grades 2–5)

This workshop uses simple blocks to build robots, cars, trains, and more! Learn about how to build a circuit with our Cubelet robotic building blocks, and about how we control technology every day using simple coding techniques (basic inputs and outputs). This dynamic workshop offers students the chance to problem-solve as a team and build a series of different challenges.

Healthy Habitats (Grades K–2)

Healthy Habitats (Grades K–2)

What makes a habitat a habitat? Students will learn about the important factors of a healthy habitat, how they support diverse life, and how we can protect these places in the face of climate change through playing a physical game that simulates the effects of habitat loss. We will look at a few biological specimens native to Saskatchewan to learn how they have adapted to their environment, how the prairies uniquely support them, and how we can help the environment in our daily lives.

This workshop includes introductory-level climate change discussions for students who have little to no experience with climate science.
