Wednesday, september 25 | small theatre | 6:30–8:30 pm

On Wednesday, September 25, join the Saskatchewan Science Centre in welcoming artist, Brianna LaPlante. We will be unveiling the mural she created, its connections to the land, and the Science Centre's journey with reconciliation.

BRIANNA LAPLANTE

Brianna LaPlante is a Fine Artist from Fishing Lake First Nation. Artwork is an act of lifelong learning and resilience for her as an Anishinaabe/nehiyaw/Michif creator. Her artwork and community-based programs are rooted within the elevation of Indigenous knowledge systems informed by the intersections of her life experiences. Like a sweetgrass braid, her artworks are a physical manifestation of mind, heart, and spirit.

Following the Artist Talk there will be an open Q&A session and a light buffet! Enjoy coffee, tea, popcorn, fried bannock with jam – along with wonderful conversation and incredible people.

Registration is required to take part in this free event. Please RSVP to Sara at smccreary@sasksciencecentre.com. Space is limited!
