Join us on Wednesday, November 9, and Thursday, November 10 and check out some of the awesome stuff the University of Saskatchewan Space Team (USST), partnered with the RADSAT-SK CubeSat, has been working on! The USST is a multidisciplinary student group focusing on building and designing space-related technology. From space elevators, to rovers and satellites, they have been inspiring young engineers for over 15 years.
Members of the USST will be showing off some of their work that has gone into different satellites that will actually be launched into space by the Canadian Space Agency!
A 1:1 model of the assembled CubeSat, and a 1:1 printed CubeSat frame model
Carbon fibre composites, made in-house by the USST team for rocket fins
Video walk-through of the USST clean room facility where the satellite is built
An LED breadboard powered by a pre-coded arduino for students to learn about simple circuitry and software coding
Activities related to building a simple PCB board or CubeSat frame within SolidWorks (a 3D modelling software)
The USST would like to thank their current sponsors for all the help they’ve provided.
