Regina Police Service K9 Presentation

  • Saskatchewan Science Centre 2903 Powerhouse Drive Regina, SK, S4N 0A1 Canada (map)

Friday July 5th, 2019

Visit the Kramer IMAX Theatre on Friday July 5th for your chance to meet the dogs that make the Regina K9 unit possible.

The Saskatchewan Science Centre, the Kramer IMAX Theatre, and the Regina Police Service have teamed up to create an event that will teach visitors all about the Regina K9 unit.

Meet the Regina Police Services real-life Superpower Dogs: Jaeger, Nixon, and Jack. Jaeger, (handled by Cst. Sabo) is a 5-year-old German Shepherd that was born in Canada. Nixon (handled by Cst. Fox)  is an 8-year-old German Shepherd that was born in Germany.  Jack, (who is also handled by Cst. Fox) is a German Shepherd that was born in Slovakia. These dogs have been trained to assist the Regina Police Service with their work and have mastered the skills needed for this important role.

Learn all about what it means for a dog to be able to serve on a K9 unit, and how they use their “super-powers” to help the police with keeping the public safe.

This event is FREE to public and begins at 7PM. There will also be a showing of Superpower Dogs at the Kramer IMAX Theatre available at 7:30PM for visitors to attend. Tickets to the show can be found here: https://tickets.sasksciencecentre.com/Selection.aspx?sch=169188
