Our doors will open at 7:15pm*, followed by talks from Dr. Mark Brigham, his grad student, Shelby, who has been doing active research on our fuzzy guests, and our own bat caregiver, Sheila. You'll be able to have all of your batty questions answered by this great team of bat experts!
Then, at about 9:15pm, after a brief break to allow everyone to use the restroom and put on appropriate clothing for a Saskatchewan evening, we'll go outside as a group to a designated area of the park to release the bats! We ask that everyone remain outside of the barriers that will be set up and keep a respectful distance for the comfort and safety of the bats and their human handlers.
This event is for all-ages and free for the public! Cash donations, which all go toward our mission of promoting science literacy in the province, will be welcome at the door.
The Saskatchewan Science Centre gratefully acknowledges the support of NSERC and the Canadian Association of Science Centres for the support of this event.
*The Exhibit Floor will be closed during this event.
