Do you have a favourite film or memory of visiting the Kramer IMAX Theatre at the Saskatchewan Science Centre? For me it was my very first IMAX film, Rolling Stones: At the Max in 1992. Another was seeing Hubble for the first time at the unveiling of the new 3D IMAX film system. Both are wonderful memories that will stay with me forever.
As we launch the next version of technology in the Kramer IMAX Theatre and create new memories for you and your family, I’d like to invite you to be a part of this next chapter of our IMAX story by adopting a laser!
The new IMAX GT digital laser projectors are arriving at the Kramer IMAX Theatre very soon. In the system there are approximately 4,000 lasers and you have the unique opportunity to adopt one or more lasers through our Adopt-A-Laser campaign.
With a donation of only $250 you will Adopt-A-Laser of your very own*. In return, you will have an exclusive, limited-edition opportunity (there are only 4,000 lasers available) and be part of the future Kramer IMAX Theatre.
You will receive:
A commemorative laser-etched laser pointer
A numbered certificate of authenticity
Your name (or the name of loved one) on the donor wall at the Kramer IMAX Theatre
A tax receipt for the full value of your donation
The new projectors maintain the unique IMAX 1.43:1 aspect ratio that you know and love. The system will allow us to access more content: including awe-inspiring documentaries and Hollywood blockbuster movies. It also upgrades our sound system from 6 channels to 12 channels for a completely immersive IMAX experience.
What about IMAX film? Never fear! We're maintaining one of our IMAX 15/70mm projectors so that we can continue to show content in this very special format.

Become one of our twelve unique Immersive Experiences Investors and receive captive brand exposure both inside and outside of the theatre. Investors at this level have the ability to customize a number of additional assets depending on their business needs.
This investment directly supports our mission of igniting scientific curiosity in Saskatchewan, as well as reaching our goal of raising additional funds to support the introduction of a state-of-the-art back-of-house automation system including a uniquely branded pre-show immersive experience.
